DJ Filter (AKA Curt Jenkins)

has been a lover of broken beats since his high school days listening to Rap/Hip Hop and old Rave/Happy Hardcore/Jungle tapes borrowed from various mates.

Around '94 hearing a tape of DJ Slipmatt and liking what he was hearing started going to raves in '95 instantly falling in love with the whole rave culture, people and of course, jungle beats.

In '96 started collecting records and forging some unforgettable friendships. One of these friendships was with other bad boy and long time partner in crime DJ Fiction (AKA Simon Ingels). In '97 a love of jungle had a tight grip and naturally the next step was learning to mix. Around the same time both he and Ficton both had similar feelings about the music and scene alike. It was here that Inbound was born and continued to grow into the formidable force that it is today.

Since '99 Filter has regularly played at events such as Enchanted Forest, Stardust, Elements (Melbourne), regular club nights, one off events and of course Inbound parties. He has also played with a number of recognised International DJ's, highlights include Ed Rush and Optical, Fierce, Matrix, Klute, Bailey, Konflict, DJ Lee, Intelex, and Concord Dawn.

Over the years Filters taste in music has progressed and he is always looking to push to boundaries of the D&B sound and play the freshest most quality biz he can get his hands on. Truly believing that the punters deserve to hear the newest freshest tunes out there, not just the anthems.
